Cooper Beebe Swim Head Coach

My name is Coach Cooper and this is my 5th year coaching at Northbrook and my 2nd year as head coach. I started my swimming journey at Northbrook as a 5 year old. This journey continued through Northbrook and club swim with the TAC Titans for over a decade. After graduating high school I decided to continue swimming at the division 1 level at Old Dominion University where I am currently a rising junior. While swimming takes up a majority of my time I am also a Biology major with hopes on attending veterinary school in the future. I have cherished every moment spent at Northbrook, but my favorite memory is either winning the Dee Kazmierczak award or leading the team cheers as a coach. My favorite thing about Northbrook is the sense of community. As a young swimmer I would always look up to the coaches as role models and I hope to be the same role model for all the kids that I coach.

Tommy Healey Assistant Swim Coach

I'm Coach Tommy Healey and I just finished my freshman year at Appalachian State University. I swam at Northbrook for as long as I can remember and began swimming competitively for Marlins of Raleigh my freshman year of high school. My favorite swim team moment was setting the 15-18 Men's Northbrook relay record with Coach Cooper, Coach Jake, and Alex Townsend. I love Northbrook because the coaches and entire staff care so much about the kids here since we were once growing up together as kids and were treated kindly and with care by the staff at that time.

Jake Walker Assistant Swim Coach

Hi, my name is Jake Walker and I’m going into my freshman year the University of Washington. I intend to major in Political Science or something in the Humanities. I am currently an assistant coach and have been coaching for three years now. I started swimming on the swim team at Northbrook when I was seven and joined Marlins of Raleigh (MOR) when I was 10 and started my club swimming journey. My favorite Northbrook memory is cheering on the rock during Tuesday night meets. One thing I love about Northbrook is how the community becomes a family - whether you’re on the swim team, dive team, or work at Northbrook in the summer, you will build connections and make long-lasting friendships. I”m so excited to be back this summer, and can’t wait to coach new and returning swimmers this season! Go Dolphins!

I’ve been at Northbrook for 10 years and this will be my second year as an assistant coach for the swim team. I swam competitively in high school but have been doing summer swim since I was 5. My favorite NBK memory was swimming in a “sisters” relay with Corinna Fultz, Mary Pratt, and Anna Pratt. Nolan Beebe Assistant Swim Coach

Hi, I’m coach Nolan and I attend Athens Drive Magnet High School. I started swimming competitively at the age of 6 years old. When I first started swimming I swam for MOR but have found my way to TAC and have been swimming there for the last 9 years. My favorite moment was when I was 8 years old and I got moved up into the 11-12 relay to swim with my brother and his friends. This is my favorite moment because I was able to show off what I was capable of and the thrill that I got being the only 8 years old on the relay made me remember it. What I love about Northbrook is the community that has turned into a family. The swim team has always been about having fun and competing at a high level. I love how we take pride in enjoying the sport while also taking it seriously and racing our best. The coaches have always put the swimmers' needs first. They have always had a helping hand when needed, whether that be at a practice or at a meet.
